The Life Lessons Taught by Finding Nemo In “Finding Nemo,” Andrew Stanton uses unique techniques, such as, brilliant colors and phenomenal computer animations to teach his younger generation of audience to stay positive in life because optimism is key in being successful in life. “Finding Nemo” starts out with two clown fish, Marlin and Coral. They live in the Great Barrier Reef in an anemone and have multiple eggs that are about ready to hatch (Finding Nemo). Andrew Stanton uses phenomenal colors schemes and computer animation in the opening scene. The colorful coral reef pops amongst the aqua blue ocean water, drawing the younger audience in. Then, a barracuda invades their home, knocking Marlin unconscious. Once he wakes up, Coral and all the eggs, but one, are gone. Due to the trauma, the one remaining egg had a crack in it, but Marlin kept well care of it which allowed it to hatch. He decided to name his only son Nemo because that was the name his wife liked (Finding Nemo). Due to Nemo’s trauma in the egg, he has one fin smaller than the other. His …show more content…

The movie includes multiple bright colors that draw children’s attention. It has many childish jokes, such as, calling the boat, “a butt”, Dory speaking whale and Dory constantly forgetting. These type of jokes are directed toward children, in order to, hold their attention throughout the entire movie. Lastly, the movie is directed towards children because of the type of lessons it teaches. It illustrates multiple life lessons that relate to a child’s current and future life, such as, to never give up, have confidence, don’t fall under peer pressure and it’s okay to be different. These lesson may apply to children 's lives and increase their interest in the movie. Although, some children may not even realize the hidden lessons the movie is illustrating to them, but it does make an impact on the way they think in certain
