The stress builds up, weakening the souls of the believers. Endless amounts of work rid their minds of what truly matter. The fine arts started out, in the Prehistoric times, as just art. This art was cave painting. As time progressed so did the fine arts. In the Mediterranean Era, people skilled in fine arts were few, and were just “skilled-workers.” During the Renaissance period, the arts were raised to a higher level. This is when people became more skilled in the arts. As more people became interested, the arts were turned into programs and eventually extracurricular activities. These fine arts eventually programs eventually became a part of many children’s educations and many school curriculum. Recently, some of these programs had to be cut due to budget constraints. Some say the fine arts help with a child’s brain development and should be kept, while others say they are a waste of time and money. The “arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork… and stimulation can actually connect people to their world and society” (Smith). The fine arts teach social skills and help individuals interact better. Better interaction allows for less bullying, and less bullying reduces the risk of suicide. If there is only one thing keeping you from committing suicide, it needs to stay. The people with suicidal thoughts build confidence and these thoughts vanish. We all need to be confident in ourselves and we all want to be confident in ourselves. Why eliminate confidence? Low confidence means low self-esteem and bad thoughts. The vast majority of people want to feel good about themselves. No one should feel down. Imagine living everyday always thinking bad thoughts. Fine arts remove these bad thoughts, so why remove fine arts? The fine arts literally keep some people alive, they need to
