This article talked about Trump complaining about the nation’s libel laws on a book "Fire and Fury." This book supposedly has false statements about Trump’s troubles with his presidency. He is trying to sue the publisher Michael Wolff. President Trump is trying to sue him because he didn’t like what he saw in the book about him. He thinks they are defamatory and are not true. This is where the story comes about, Michael Wolff said, “ He had an interview with Donald J. Trump about a book about "Trump’s presidency." Trump agreed to this interview about his presidency and gave Michael access to the white house for his interviews with Trump. Trump says that this is not the case of the story. First of all, what I think is that Trump is just trying to get away from the fact he had some trouble acts with his presidency. One example when he had trouble with the presidency is when he broke his promise of deporting the undocumented. He hasn’t shown anyone his plans to deport people. Also, he was talking about how much time it would take to deport the undocumented people. This shows he had trouble with this problem. If he had a problem with this book, he needs to look at the Freedom of Free Press. Amendment 1, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press” This means that the government can not control the media or the newspaper. People can post statements or wrongdoings that the government are doing onto the media and not get in trouble by the government. If Trump does not like the book, then he should just ignore what the book says. If the book has a false statement that is completely made up, then he could prove them it wasn’t true. He can prove the people that the book has no evidence of the false statements that were
