“Stab the body and it heals, but injure the heart and the wound lasts a lifetime” (Mineko Iwasaki). Many say this to be true a true statement. A person can change in a drastic way when a loved one turns out to be something that nobody thought they were. Robert Frost is an American Poet most famous for his work starting in 1916, with “The Road Not Taken”. His poem “Fire and Ice” sets forward the idea that hate in any sense, cold, as ice is, or passionate, like fire represents, will cause destruction. After a single reading of the poem, it appears the speaker is simply debating which would be a better way for the world to end, in a blazing fire or in another ice age.
