Fire door is a door assembly, which is designed to hold back smoke and fire for a period of time and has been tested under certain conditions to provide insulation. Fire door can have different period integrity properties. Figure 1.1 shows the timber fire rated doors with ironmongeries set (NEVADOR, June 18).
Besides that smoke seals, self-closing and vision panel or known as glazing system have to be take into design considerations. Fire doors sign is a must to have a minimum of 80mm x 80mm of ridged plastic signs in size with 4 screw holes such as fire door keep shut.
The latest deadly fire block tower in London shows that the important of fire safety system must be implemented. Britain's government said that the cladding samples from

Most of the fire doors were manufactured from asbestos boards, fibre-cement boards or mineral fibre cores. These products problematic due to long-term health concerns, excessive weight and complex construction while the E-Core was developed in response to these issues.
2.2.2 Batiboard
Batiboard insulation board is based on expanded perlite, various types of fibres and binders. It has the advantages of combine strength with lightweight good mechanical resistance, dimensional stability, resistance to heat and ecological product. Figure 2.2 shows the characteristic of Batiboard especially the thermal conductivity and the density.

2.2.3 Mineral Fibre Core
Mineral fibre is manufactured by melting diabase volcanic rock with raw materials. Mineral fibre insulation has the properties of chemically inert and resistant to the growth of fungi, moulds or bacteria. The binders can be considered as an insoluble plastic which will remain unchanged for at least a century which make it high
