The novel ‘Sunwing’ by Kenneth Oppel chapters 10-13 has the main message of ‘fighting isn’t important, you will get hurt by both karma and physically. These are the main points of this novel. The first point is when Chinook was yelling at Shade to fly away. They were flying from the humans who were trying to kill them. Then, Goth started talking about the seven minutes to sacrifice one hundred offerings and that according to a stone.

Diane Ackerman, in her excerpt from “In Praise of Bats,” wants readers to recognize that life is beautifully strange, and it is the small moments that count. Ackerman takes on a gentle, calm tone to get her message across; to do this, she gives readers vivid imagery of bats, relating them to the beauty and abstractness of life. With the short-lived event of the event of the emergence of bats, Ackerman develops her meaning that the miniscule, seemingly insignificant moments in life is what we should look forward to the most. Ackerman introduces her excerpt with the brief description of her pet bats, Zuri and Rafiki: Zuri licking the “human essence” off of himself in an effort to show that he is distinct from the author and reader.
The infamous winds of Santa Ana repeatedly help develop a sky ridden with smoke, but for many on the golden coast this is just a typical day. The winds spiral into flames catching among the wild flowers that flourish on the vast valleys of California. These winds are unstoppable. However, it seems as if many refuse this idea in hopes that the land in california will become untouched by the dry winds if humans decide to build. It seems as if no one realizes that the ash from last year will be buried under tar at first, but soon enough the winds will take over the land and a new layer of ash will settle..
The thugs looked over to find where the howling was coming from and Lemon Brown lunged himself at them, causing himself to roll down the stairs. The thugs went outside of the house and after awhile they left. After seeing how much Lemon Brown adored his treasures, Greg realized that his dad caring so much for him meant everything. Greg now appreciates the lectures about decisions he was trying to make. Greg’s treasure was his relationship with his father all because of Lemon Brown’s story.
In preparation for this paper I chose to read Fire in the ashes: twenty five years among the poorest children in America by Jonathan Kozol. In this book Kozol has followed these children and their family’s lives for the past twenty five years. In his writing Kozol portrays a point of view most from his background and standing would not be capable of having. He portrays what life is like for those who have been let down by the system that was meant to protect them. Kozols writing style can be very blunt at times, not for shock value, but for the sake of portraying these children’s realities, and not sugarcoating the inequalities that they are faced with.

Mournful Experience Promethean Fire, choreographed by Paul Taylor in 2002, was viewed by a lot of audience as a tribute for those who lost loved ones from the bombing of Twin Tower on September 11, 2001. More than 3,000 people total died from 9/11 including 343 firefighters who risked their lives to help the survivors and stop the fire and smoke from the building (September). Promethean Fire portrayed what American people went through during 9/11 by using stiff bodies, lifting, and the overall space of the dancers in modern dance. Paul Taylor was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania on July 29, 1930. At the young age of 24, he started a company called Paul Taylor Dance Company and worked with iconic choreographers such as Martha Graham and George Balanchine.
In the film Escape Fire the Fight to Rescue American Healthcare, there were many insightful examples of why our Unites States healthcare revolves around paying more and getting less. The system is designed to treat diseases rather than preventing them and promoting wellness. In our healthcare industry, there are many different contributors that provide and make up our system. These intermediaries include suppliers, manufacturers, consumers, patients, providers, policy and regulations. All these members have a key role in the functionality of the health care industry; however, each role has its positives and negatives.
The book “Forged by Fire” by Sharon M. Draper is a book with many themes and lessons we all can learn. One of the themes that this essay will talk about will be about loyalty. For one thing, loyalty is a strong feeling because it’s something that comes from inside of a person to have faith in someone . We are all loyal to someone, someone who’s special in our lives and plays a major role in our lives that drags us to support them no matter what. In this book, Gerald gets abused by his drunk father.

Parcc Essay After reading the two passages, "Red Cranes", and, "The Firefly Hunt", it is clearly presented that the authors of each stories, developed the characters in clever differential ways. Although the approach was very different, the characteristics within these characters were quite similar. As goes to say, each author had their own perspectives through introducing each characters intentions and feelings. In the story, "The Red Crane", written by Jacey Choy, the approach to develop Choy's characters was very subtle.
Chapter 8 stated that a transformation engine, such as Burning Man has been creating an actual difference in humanity as Burning Man allows individuals “to break out of the box that confines us” (158). The festival has converted to a type of specialized improvement and is now a destination for the Silicon Valley elite to step outside and go big since Burning Man inspires a huge amount of theory. Dunn Sidni Dunn Hensley English 11/ Fourth Period 27 February 2018 Part 12:Rough Draft In Barn Burning William Faulkner uses very many themes to show the emotions of these characters and how they felt. They all acted the same being all angry at each other. He really shows the readers how bad a family can really feel for these characters from what they showed they felt how they felt. Faulkner also uses perspective to help tell his stories. This comes being shown out through his main characters in helping to tell those stories.
