Now were going to make a flat set which is pitting the trap level with the ground and hoping they step on it. The first thing that needs to happen is to go out and find a good used trail that has raccoon and coyote tracks on it. Take a shovel and dig a hole about 4 inches down in the ground to where we can put are trap down in the whole level. After there’s a hole about 4 inches down take the trap and steak it down with about an 18 inch piece of rebar then get the rap set and make sure the pan is even with the jaws so it doesn’t stand out to much. After we have got the trap in the whole grab the shovel or something to dig with so that we can get some dry dirt to put in the hole with the trap. Take some salt and sprinkle around the trap so it won’t freeze then take some dirt and pack it in around the jaws of the trap. After the trap is nice and solid in the hole take some dirt and sprinkle it around the jaws and the pan of the trap until its just barely covered. Then take some salt and sprinkle over the trap then take the rest of the dirt and sprinkle it over the trap so that it is level with the ground. Then take the salt that is leftover and sprinkle it over the top making sure the trap wont freeze. …show more content…

Lay the leaves over the trap and everywhere around it so it blends in with everything else. Then take the sticks and lay around it so it looks normal and nothing can tell anything was even there. Once everything is blended in and it’s as flat as it can be take some of the scents and put some up in the trees. That way when its up in the trees the animal can smell it from farther away and come to the trap. The animal should not be able to notice anything wrong with coming to the scent the trap should be blended in and it should just as level as everything else is and the animal should step right on the trap
