Once you order, depending on how long the line is, you’ll get your food in under 10 minutes. Other than the actual fast food chains, who else in the food industry does that and keeps food waste to a bare minimum? While many people claim food trucks give their owners an unfair advantage compared to a restaurant, they do not. This isn’t the case when you begin to factor in all of the rules these trucks need to follow. Evidence shows (Source B) that food trucks do many different things to make sure they make it fair to restaurant owners. From not being in a location for more than 4 hours to not being able to be 20 feet from a stop sign. Many factors are in place, so food trucks don’t take control of the food industry. Finishing off with the economy, food trucks are helping the economy, one meal at a time. Research reveals (Source F)that the demand for food trucks has been very clear after the food industry reported that 91% of their customers believe food trucks are not going away. This indicates just how much of an influence food trucks are making on all of their customers. Restaurants aren’t matching the power and access ability of food trucks. These trucks can be anywhere and serve food at a much faster rate compared to restaurants that stay in place and take longer to deliver your order.
