Sophia Gomez Mrs. Stele AP Language 9/5/24. A new beginning for food trucks: One time when I was out on vacation with my family, we went out to eat dinner. Since we were on vacation, most would assume we went to a fancy restaurant, but we actually ended up going to a food truck station. There were many food trucks in this parking lot and lots of people who were enjoying themselves while eating a wide variety of food. Knowing this, I ask myself, why should food trucks not be allowed? Although there is a slight chance of food trucks becoming more popular than restaurants, they should be allowed because it can expand the culinary options with different cultures, supports local businesses, and it helps the economy of the community. While eating from restaurants is nice, getting a meal from a food truck helps you expand your taste buds and gives you many options. In many cases, there are different food trucks lined up next to each other, but with completely different kinds of food. This helps you see what food tastes like from different parts of the world, and can ultimately bond you together. In many restaurants, people do not get the food served from someone of that race. At some Mexican restaurants, it could be a white male who is the chef, or at an Italian restaurant it could be an Asian female who is the chef. Shown in source D, someone who is against food trucks claims that they are supportive of the fact that it gives culinary experience. This information shows that even people who are against it, can be against it in some ways. Imagine a world where you only got to eat food from your culture. I'm not saying that it is a bad thing, but food trucks promote expanding your taste buds. Although the food can taste just as good when it's made by anyone, it feels much more authentic and can ultimately taste better made by a person who wants to share their culture and has a passion for it. Eating from different cultures can have a very important impact on
