Glen Kramon of the Los Angeles Times wrote an article titled “Football at Stanford? maybe not”(Kramon). The main point he is trying to convey through this article is that Stanford's football program is not efficient and there is really no need for it. The tone he uses to express these thoughts is informative, because he uses strong words and information throughout the article to communicate the main point of the stanford football program collapsing. Kramon’s reason for writing this article is because Stanford was a very dominant team 5 years ago,but it is now in freefall.
During the course of this past week and a half, I have been wearing the letter I chose to represent me. My results I received were very weak and almost unresponsive. But didn’t I wear it all day for a week? Yes, people tend to mind their own business while walking in-between classes.

Symbolism Within The Scarlet Letter Hawthorne created symbolism throughout The Scarlet Letter in order to develop the theme throughout Hester’s life. The red A and her daughter, Pearl, are symbols of Hester’s shame which she bares proudly despite society's harsh judgements. Hawthorne is able to use symbolism to develop themes, characters, and analogies in the Scarlet Letter.
First off, the letter x is one of the coolest looking letters in the alphabet. It’s one of those letters that aren’t used very much but when it is used it protrudes out from the crowd. If I could just choose one letter I would want one that is rare and cool looking. Another cool thing about x is that it sounds cool, for instance look at the word xylophone, or extra, the x is the main point of the word. Unlike Hester Prynne in The Scarlet Letter I would have warn x on my body if I had to choose a letter.
Subculture of College Football “Isn’t there supposed to be a storm coming?” I asked my mom as were getting dressed for a college football game. “Yes, Uncle Mickey said get dressed anyway” “Don’t the storms get bad in this part of the country?” I asked “Yes JaKyrah, now stop asking so many questions” my mom replied, wolling her eyes. This is the moment I realized… they may take this game a bit too far.
FOOTBALL FOOTBALL. The game of American football as played today by high school, college, and professional teams grew out of rugby-style football which in the mid-1870s replaced a largely kicking game known as association football. Although initially played on village greens and on college fields, the first intercollegiate game took place on 6 November 1869 when Rutgers defeated Princeton 6–4 in a soccer-style game. Five years later, Montreal's McGill University playing at Harvard introduced rugby football, which would be rapidly adopted by eastern teams.

The sport I chose to observe was college football. I decided to chose this sport because football is a sport my family enjoys to watch. Also I enjoy watching football more than any other sport because there is so much that could happen, in football many unexpecting plays could happen, and each game is different than the last one. The game I chose to watch was a college football game between the University of Notre Dame and the University of Miami that took place at the University of Miami on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The game started with Miami kicking the ball to Notre Dame.

The Scarlet Letter is a story by Nathaniel Hawthorne that takes place in the time of the Puritans. It shows many signs of how the Puritanical system is flawed and how one person’s actions can impact the entire town as a whole. The Puritans believed in a theocracy, which is where the government is made of priests and rule in the name of God. It is because of this that the Puritanical system is flawed because if a high-ranking person within the church commits sin then the entire community is shaken. This happens in the Scarlet Letter because of one man’s revenge.
The Scarlet Letter and Uses of the Puritan Past illustrate various aspects of the cultural values in Puritanism and their societal impacts. In The Scarlet Letter, Hawthorne depicts Puritanism as a bleak, strict cultural instance in which people who do not conform to their rules are shunned and distanced from society. In Uses of the Puritan Past, Puritan culture is described as a social construct based on four primary virtues. These virtues were the main influence of Puritan activity in Uses of the Puritan Past, as they were responsible for the creation of social rules and essential morality resulting in increased power and influence of the Puritan over every day Puritan life in New England. Even though both The Scarlet Letter and Uses of the
