Advancements in Football Technology Introduction The technological advancements in the game of football has allowed the game to reach unprecedented heights. Having the ability to see and hear aspects of the game that we originally thought were unfathomable. “Technology has changed nearly every aspect of the game. Its impact has been felt in play calling, communication, drafting and the treatment of injured players, to name a few” (Leap, 2013). New technological advancements in audio has increased the way the game of football is heard. “In 1994, the NFL introduced in-helmet radio receivers for the quarterbacks.
