Nonprofit Organizations and For-Profit Organizations All organizations must possess several characteristics in order to accomplish their goal or mission. In the matter that, organizations must have smart management and leadership. However, there are two types of organizations such as, nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Even tough, nonprofit organizations and for-profit organizations possess different objectives they share some similarities. The definition of organization dwell of two or more people working together in order to reach a common goal. Nonprofit organizations are distinct from for-profit organizations in several aspects. First of all, nonprofit organizations are mostly concerned on helping and serving the community. Allen, Jennifer, M., J Sawhney., & Rayeey stated that “Most non-profit organizations are charities that provides different services to the people in the community” (2010). Also, most people are pleased by the fact that nonprofit organizations give free helpful resources to the public. Secondly, a nonprofit organization is only interested with money in order to preserve the organization functioning.
