Ford is moving their production to a michigan plant due to market shift. Demand for smaller cars is going down aat a rampant rate. Because of this ford needs to do something in order to maintain and grow their sales. Ford is doing this by closing down a 1.6 million dollar plant in mexico. This plant produced smaller cars for the public. Large companies do not like to take steps back in fact they use every opportunity to thrive that they can. The demand for small cars is shrinking so ford decided to shy away from small car production and move towards larger vehicle production. This is where there michigan plant comes into play. The unemployment rate dropped from 10% due to the investors and economy rise. Ford expanding there Flat Rock plant will help a little with the flat rock plant and with the expansion they will bring in more revenue. With more revenue ford will grow as a company. As ford grows there will be more and more investments in the United States if we make it worth their while. The United States has to cater to ford in order to get them to continue doing business in the united states. If The United states can make it more profitable to conduct business here than they will take the financial logical route. The goal is to continue having the us be the financial logical decision. If the us has to sacrifice a few things and lower the tax money received from companies it is worth it because more business will be conducted here in the US creating more revenue than if the US had less business but high tax revenue.
