Forensic Interview With Gracie Points

The following is a summary of the forensic interview with Gracie Points, not an exact transcript. The interview took place on March 15, 2018 at 10:24 AM, at Kids’ Space Child Advocacy Center in Muskogee, OK. Megan Merrill was the forensic interviewer who interviewed Gracie. I and other co-workers involved in the investigation, observed the forensic interview from an observation room. Megan began the interview by introducing herself to Gracie and explaining the layout of the forensic interviewing room. In doing so, she introduces the cameras that record the room. Additionally, Megan discusses some ground rules to the interview. She said he does it sometimes on purpose just because he is mad. Randle needed to be disciplined for it, Gracie said her dad said. Randle was sent outside to shovel mulch around the yard. Randle was upset and punched the wall. Gracie told Megan that her mom went outside to check on him and that was when her brother started mouthing that her dad was molesting him. Then Rande called the cops. Megan said she was going to back up just a little bit and clarified some of the things that Gracie just told her. Megan asked why Randle gets mad. Gracie said he has ADHD and gets mad easily. They have been trying to help him with his anger. Megan asked Gracie to tell her about Randle saying her dad had been molesting him. What made him tell her that? Gracie said she had no idea. She has never seen anything like that happen and her dad has never done anything like that to her. Gracie said Rande and Robbe have never told her anything had happened to them either, until she heard that when this all came out. Gracie said again that nothing like that has ever happened to her. She said she has never seen it so she doesn’t know that happened. Gracie said her mom came inside and Gracie and her mom talked about what Randle had said.
