Jaclyn Dowaliby was the daughter of Cynthia Jaclyn and the step-daughter of David Dowaliby. David Dowaliby was convicted of murder of his 7-year-old daughter. She disappeared from her house in the morning. She shared a house with her younger brother, her mom, David and her Grandmother. Cynthia reported that she saw a broken basement window which the intruder could have come in from and kidnapped Jaclyn. It could not be the intruder because most of the glass was outside than inside, making it illogical for the intruder to smash the window from the outside. When they found Jaclyn’s body in the bushes of sand apartment, they interviewed Everett Mann who had a bipolar disorder. When they asked him, he gave a description similar to David Dowaliby, but police investigators figured out that it was impossible that Everett Mann could see characteristics of a man and car from 70 feet above at night. When police re-investigated after David Dowaliby’s release, Jaclyn’s biological father’s brother gave a false alibi when Jaclyn disappeared. The …show more content…

Science has many different categories, the most important one to use in solving crimes is forensic science. Forensic science helps to discover evidence that is invisible to the naked eye. They help to discover other possibilities that the culprit could have flawed in. If forensic scientist is very careful in their detailed discoveries, the evidence that the find could benefit in finding who was the culprit and how the crime was done. Forensic science needs to be very careful when handling the evidence and interpreting what it means. The evidence can help find the culprit or victim’s DNA or fingerprints, these evidence can identify both the culprit and the victim so that we can solve the crime easier because we already know the people and just need to find the
