My passion and interest towards the field of forensic science, comes from my realization that it is a field that incorporates law with science forming a conglomerate of?? I understand that, to be a successful forensic scientist one must have a strong commitment to the high standards of scientific procedures. I would describe myself as a patient person who gives utmost attention to detail, which is critical in this line of work. I believe in meticulously following protocols, and thereby working through a series of well planned and tested steps and procedures to recover the underlying answers from the well evident indications. I find it utmost self rewarding to follow detailed methodology to interpret hidden answers which finally helps you arrive at a logical explanation that pulls together all the bits and pieces of a puzzle into a greater, bigger picture. During my study, I was exposed to subjects like genetic engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry etc which helped nurture my interest in forensics. These subjects taught me the importance of life on a molecular level and how the tiniest of details can help in uncovering huge facts. During the four years of my study , I had attended a workshop on the computational methods of protein docking. The workshop showed me the role of computers and software that plays an important role in the field of medical sciences. As technology advances, it is becoming a normal practice to mesh both technology and science thereby making processes easier ehich would otherwise be tedious.
