Hamlet’s character and flaws provide evidence for the idea of a man’s lowest point is when his character should be evaluated. A key time when Hamlet has a drastic change of heart is when he accepts Fortinbras as heir to the throne and even carries on to say that he gives him his vote. In the Act 4, Hamlet spoke of Fortinbras jokingly, calling him a “delicate and tender prince” (Shakespeare, 203) but then with his final few words he says “But I do prophesy th’ election lights on Fortinbras; he has my dying voice” (Shakespeare, 283). A change of heart for the queen is also scarcely seen in the last scene of “Hamlet.” In the beginning, Hamlet described her as “Frailty” and states “A beast, that wants discourse of reason, would have mourn’d longer”
