For this assignment I have chosen to focus on Fortune 500 Company the General Electric Company. The General Electric Company, or GE, is a global corporation based out of Fairfield, Connecticut that was founded in 1892 by "the merging the Edison General Electric Company and the Thomson-Houston Company, another prominent manufacturer of dynamos and electric lights" (General Electric, 2014). Thomas Edison formed the Edison General Electric Company, making sure GE has a historic past along with a challenging future. General Electric focuses on four industries; energy, technology infrastructure, capital finance, and consumer & industrial.
