Develop a Positive Attitude
Being positive and having an optimistic outlook is an essential trait of a leader. Staying positive leads to better work performance as well as having a contagious effect on coworkers and staff. Two important ways for employees to begin to develop a positive attitude is to:

Give up the mindset of: "We've always done it this way," and adopt one of"How can we make this even better?"

Problem solving is key to developing good leadership skills. It is important to be able to work at problems instead of just complaining or giving up on them.
