Have you ever had a scary incident happen to someone you love and hold dearly? Was it on a holiday or special event? Were you frightened for your or for your loved one's life? This very thing happened to my family and I. It was the morning of July 4, 2009. I had my red, white and blue dress on with my hair braided nicely. We went to my grandma’s house for a delicious family breakfast. We spent time together laughing and playing. Once we finished we got into our cars, and headed to the city park for the annual Fourth of July celebration. The whole town would gather together to celebrate our country's freedom. My mom was working in one the booths, helping the cheerleaders do a fundraiser, because my sister was the cheer assistant .
