There are so many interesting things you can get to experience in your next vacation. It is pertinent to mention that there are many enchanting locations around the world. However, there are some facts about France which you might not have known. Here are some of them:

- The largest country in the European Union is France! With a 551,000 square meter land mass, it boasts of covering about a fifth of the total area occupied by the EU. It might interest you to know that about a quarter of the EU is covered by Forest! Only Sweden and Finland have a sizable mass of land.

- Do you know France is also referred to as the Hexagon? That's right. Due to the six-sided structured of the country's land mass, it is also called the Hexagon.

- France has 15 territories overseas: These territories include Mayotte, Reunion, Martinique, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, etc. France is currently one of the modern nations of the world that has a vast reach outside its immediate territory. - Not all French speak French!: It would interest you to know that about one million people who live in France but share the country's border with Italy speak Italian. Beyond this, there are other languages that are spoken in France. However, to calm your nerves, most of the country speaks French....so you are not entirely wrong when you call them French.
