Frank James Frank James was born on January 10, 1843 in Kearney, Mo. The reason I chose him was because I feel like he is left out more because of his brother Jesse James. Him and his brother were both criminal but Jesse James is remembered more because of his violent killings. But Frank James is still a very great and famous Missourian. Before Frank was famous he was a bandit, or some would call him a criminal with his brother Jesse James. He loved to go to school and liked it very much, he never went to college but after school he work at AT&T telegraph operator. Frank was a very smart man. Now this man's family was huge and my family is huge so that's how i relate to him. His family supported slavery so when the Civil War happened, Frank went and signed up for the Confederate soldier he was only 18 years old. His way of killing was a newer way it was called guerrilla warfare. He would surprise his enemy’s, coming out of nowhere and killing them, I don’t know if that's just me but that is awesome. After the war ended he became an outlaw. He was in a gang with is brother the gang was called the James Gang, they robbed banks and then began holding up trains in Iowa, Alabama, and Texas.
