On June 13, 1901, two members of one of Montreal’s wealthiest families were both shot and killed. Ada Mills Redpath, widow of the late industrialist John James Redpath, and her son Jocelyn Clifford Redpath were found dying and unresponsive in the former’s bedroom. Two pistols were found at the scene alongside three spent bullets, two lodged in Ada’s backside and one embedded in Clifford’s forehead. Interestingly, the family has remained very secretive about the entire incident; the case was hushed up and only revealed to the authorities by accident. However, by sorting and weighing the value of the limited contradictory and biased evidence available, it becomes clear that the deaths were not a result of suicide intervention, epileptic insanity,

On August 24, a terrible crime occurred in our country. A young white boy noticed a young African-American male, half-submerged in the Tallahatchie River, at Pecan Point. A good author is able to take a chunk of people with different likes, dislikes, backgrounds, and political views and make them unite together to believe what the author is trying to say. Bryan Stevenson is a good author. Stevenson wrote about his experiences as a lawyer who is primarily faced with criminals looking to appeal their sentence to shorter ones or to prove their innocence in his book called Just Mercy. Just Mercy is composed of different people’s experiences as convicted felons, many on death row, and Stevenson introduces problems that the United States

Accordingly, I questioned Pondexter “so-called” innocence in this horrific criminal act because he knowingly entered Lennox’s home with three other men with a gun to rob, inflict fear and possibly cause harm. In my view, the crime was premeditated, including the murder. According to Pondexter’s attorney David Dow, since the first gunshot fired by James Lee Henderson pierced Lennox’s brain the defense claimed that this was the wound that resulted in her death.
