Abandonment is the process of leaving or deserting someone and usually never coming back. In the novel Frankenstein, Mary Shelley introduces a creature who was constructed by Victor Frankenstein, so he could make discoveries about the process of life and death. People did not accept him and only viewed him as a monster that wanted to cause destruction. “I am malicious because I am miserable. Am I not shunned and hated by all mankind?” (Shelley 147).
