Long Purple Teeth In the darkness, all I could see of the creature were its glowing tentacles, sparkling eyes, and long purple teeth. I stood unwillingly on the small patch of dead, faded grass, cornered by two walls. The walls were made of thick cement, which began to feel like they were caving in on me. My eyes shifted to see what could have been a door behind the creature. It was the only way out. The eight-foot-tall creature stood hovering over me. It opened its mouth, revealing all of its odorous, gruesome purple teeth. The monster’s voice screeched and giggled when my jaw nearly dropped to the floor. I began to shout, but the monster’s tremendous hand covered my mouth. I glanced towards the door I discovered moments before, but it had vanished. My heart sank. For a moment, I thought about biting the creature’s dry and cracked skin in an attempt to escape, but quickly thought otherwise. I began to think; is this a nightmare? The creature found this amusing. I began to back away for a split second and ran into the wall. My heart rate continued to race, as I shivered in terror. I slapped myself repeatedly. The creature suddenly caught on to what I was striving to do. It squealed and leaned over me. I felt uneasy and nauseous. I took one last deep breath and prepared to do what I thought was the last resort when the cement ceiling stopped caving in. A crack of sunlight peered through the tiny opening.
