Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (Ishiro Honda, 1964) 1964 was the year that Toho decided to shift the kaiju genre 's focus from adults to children, stripping the films from much of their depth and largely turning them into wrestling matches among actors with monster suits. This particularly film though, remains one of the best entries in the category, particularly due to its cast that featured Takashi Shimura, who played in Akira Kurosawa 's "Ikiru" and Eiji Okada, from Hiroshi Teshigahara 's "Woman in the Dunes". This time the plot involves Princess Selina, who is saved from an assassination attempt by police detective Shindo. The Princess also prophecies disasters to come, which after a while become true, as a meteorite that had previously crashed on Earth, is revealed to be an egg that hatches into King Ghidorah.
Right when a baby is born, they immediately begin to seek for someone to trust and provide for their basic needs. As an individual grows, they develop their own personality and characteristics, but this begs the question if a human’s personality and characteristics are determined more on nature or nurture. Which leads to the question: what characteristics make a human really a human? In Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Victor Frankenstein creates a monster from the dead using body parts from the dead. Instantly, Victor abandons the monster who later turns to murder.
At first, Victor is horrified by his creation but eventually becomes more and more like it. With a desire to destroy each other both are left alone to come up with a plan of revenge since they took each other's most prized possessions. Victor Frankenstein and the Monster that he creates are alike in ways he didn’t expect them to be. For example, Victor creates the Monster to be like himself. Anger is a trait that Victor and the Monster gain because it is brought up in the society around them.

In the novel Frankenstein, the author Mary Shelley shows the everlasting power of nature by limiting the knowledge man can learn about it. Throughout the book there are many times when Victor yearns for nature in order to heal him from the misery and violence in his life. This misery and violence are caused by his determination to learn more about the natural world. The monster Victor creates, due to his loneliness, defies the unwritten rules of nature and exemplifies the supernatural aspect of the novel. Victor’s mood completely shifts when he is around nature and he instantly feels calmer when near it.
Duality is shown in Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, a gothic tale of a scientist whom looks to advance the life-giving qualities of mother nature. Through this novel, Shelley proves that good and evil in human nature is not always simple to define, and that everyone has both of these qualities within them. The duality of human nature is shown through the characters of Victor Frankenstein and his monster, who are both heroes in the novel while simultaneously displaying anti-hero qualities. Shelley forces the reader to sympathize with them both but also creates gruesome ideas of the two. Frankenstein’s creature places himself in a submissive position when he begs his creator to have mercy on him and asking the creator to “create a female for [him] with whom [he] can live in the interchange of those sympathies necessary for [his] being.”
