Karla Franco-Cruz T.A. 260 Professor Damgen Shadow Paper The story of Frankenstein was written by Mary Shelley. It is a story of when Victor created a monster in which he blames after his finding that his brother, William, was murdered. Frankenstein decided to go away and hide in which he felt as if no one would accept him. He then found Victor again and killed his bride. They were told to get revenge upon each other. I went in for rehearsal on Thursday February 8th, 2018. I went to go watch the behind the scenes rehearsal of a play, Frankenstein which is being directed by Tom Provenzano in which he has made his own twist to it. Provenzano has said based on LA Times written by Crystal Harrel, that the play would be based on students help, “There are students designing lights and helping with sound, so it’s a very student-orientated production.” This shows me something amazing because it gives students the ability to learn and be able to grow. The stage area is quite big and gives the actors the ability to perform without worrying too much about how little space they have. Now for the theatre space and how it was set up, I saw that there were some parts of a couch. There was also a chair as well. There was a table and some half stairs. Also, there was some stage like board that they will use as a boat for the boat scene. During the rehearsal, the director told the actors to start off with Act 1 Scene 3. Before beginning, the stage manager gathered everyone around to let them know to be careful with the stairs because they aren’t finished. Henry, the stage manager also mentioned that when the actors went back stage or were back stage to not touch the curtain because it could create a wave in which the audience would be able to notice. This would lead to the audience focusing on the curtain instead of the actor’s performance and how hard they’ve been
