Are you psychotic, if you answered yes to that question, then you must think the monster is human. In the book Frankenstein by Gris Grimly, a monster is created in a lab, and he believes that the entire world is after him. This causes him to go on many sprees of destruction and cause anguish for others. He is also given a promise, a friend to be created for him but that dream is destroyed, in the end, he flees into the mountains to never be seen again. In lots of ways, the monster proves himself not to be a human, but rather a horrible monster. Victor’s monster creation was nothing like other people in society, so he will never be accepted as human if that isn’t what he is. “Unable to endure the aspect of the being I had created,” (Shelley 42). He realizes that the being he had created was nothing like he had expected, it was nothing like a human, it was a horrible monster. This was hard for him because he spent a lot of time and it should have looked more human. With his yellow skin which didn’t cover his muscles, and with his long black perfect hair and white teeth which only made his appearance more frightening. As seen on page 41, it shows that the monster is born and brought to life when he is in the body of an adult. That is not normal because people are born in the body of a baby and not an adult, this would separate them from the rest of society. As seen on pages 82-83, he finally starts learning language after two years. That is abnormal, babies usually tend to start talking after a year to a year and a half. So his physical appearance was growing very fast, but his cognitive thinking was very slow to mature.
