The Creation of a Monster
Mary Shelly has Victor Frankenstien create a monster in the book “Frankenstein. She does this in a multitude of ways. Some ways are through the Creatures actions which he is to blame, society and their responses to him, and Victor's own negligence/rejectance towards his Creature. Revenge comes in a multitude of ways in this world, but the Creature chooses death to be his main form. The first set of evidence that Mary Shelley created a monster is the craving for revenge the Creature carries with him. Frankenstein right after creating his Creation, “had desired it with an ardour that far exceeded emoderation; but now that I had finished, the beauty of the dream vanished, and breathless horror and disgust filled my heart. Unable to endure the aspect of the being I had created, I rushed out of the room,” (shelley 35). The first thing that happened after Frankenstien created his Creature was to get filled with “breathless horror” he ran away to his room. The first thing the Creature experienced was his Creator leaving him. Overall, all the Creature knew was neglect/rejection from his Creator. This seemed to be a big reason for his acting out and how he handled rejection of his
