Transformation Fear: an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that something is dangerous, or likely to cause threat. What makes it so alluring? Why do some people seek fear? Most of all how do certain events lead you to ‘believe” in fear or even lead you to like it? I have my own personal experiences with fear and I believe certain things may intensify it such as transformation. Transformation may occur in all sorts of things: such as people, objects, even in nature. I can recall having fear as far back as I remember: my brother scaring me, watching movies, maybe even my imagination. The factor about fear that has scared me the most is transformation. One time I remember watching this really scary movie about some type of ghosts but in the movie it appeared as a dark black figure of a person. Short after I went to lay down in my bed and go to sleep. As I was laying down I noticed my coat rack with one of my jackets and hats on it. Although I knew exactly what it was that movie still had me jittery and my own mind turned against me(remember I’m a child at the time) , I was almost certain it was a ghost watching me. One book that I have read is called Frankenstein and it includes a few examples of transformation. One of the main characters names are Victor, he creates a monster and it goes pretty bad. The monster makes Victor go crazy, slowly but surely destroying his life by taking what he loves away from him. You see Victor transform from these actions by going from a smart scientists to a crazy person trying to do everything he can to get revenge on the monster. He loses sleep over thinking about it, traveling all over just to find him and kill him. Transformation makes it more interesting because the character changes over time and it may catch the audience off
