Mary Shelley’s novel “Frankenstein” was first published in 1818. This novel is based on Victor Frankenstein a scientist whose obsessive desire for knowledge led to the ruining of his life. Victor was obsessed with the idea of creating life and doing the impossible, he ended up creating a monster. The real question is who’s the actual monster Frankenstein or his creation? Frankenstein being the one who created the so called monster or his creation who had no say in what was happening. Victor Frankenstein had a very happy childhood his parents were Alphonse and Caroline who had met when Caroline's father passed away leaving her an orphan. Immediately Frankenstein hated his creation with a passion all because he did not look the way he wanted him to look. Victor harshly began to describe how hideous his creation was not considering how the creature was feeling or thinking. Victor said how now that he had finished after nearly two years of him trying to give life to his creation the beauty of his dream had vanished and breathless horror and disgust filled his heart. Victor rushed out of the room because he was so overwhelmed by what he had created, leaving the creature alone, scared, and confused. The next day after and unexpected visitor arrived Victor was forced to check on the creature but to his surprise he was gone. After all the madness had occured Frankenstein fell into a deep depression and was very ill but was looked after and nursed back to health by his good friend Clerval. On may 7th Frankenstein received the news of his brother death, on his return home he made the horrible discover of who had killed his brother. He discovered that it was his creature who took the life of his brother, this just filled him with more hate towered his
