Who’s to Blame? Parents are not responsible for their children’s actions. Just because parents raise their kids does not mean that they should take the bullet for them when it comes to the child’s crimes. Humans are not perfect; they make mistakes, but it comes down to whether or not they take responsibility for their actions or put the blame on someone else. When kids are young, they tend to be like sponges, copying their parents or guardians and peers in everything they do. In the book Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, the monster learns how to act by observing people who lived in a cabin. He saw how they talked, laughed, read, sang, and interacted with each other. This taught him to be a civilized being after his creator abandoned him. Parents
