He served from 1935 to 1945,in 1932 the U.S. was in the mist of Great Depression, people were looking for new ideas, leadership, and hope. So the people elected FDR in hope that he had the answers.. . When he first got in office the first thing he did was sign new bills into laws as an effort to fight of the Great Depression.
