Franklin Roosevelt was a very influential and important president in American history who had an immense impact on the American economy and social policy during the 1930’s and 40’s and throughout the future of America, he also shared some ideas with the author John Steinbeck. He idolized Theodore Roosevelt, and took great inspiration from him. He has served as president for longer than any other president in history, serving for three terms instead of the usual two that is generally accepted as the maximum amount of time that a president can serve. He drove America out of the great depression and through the second world war.

He was the 19th president of the United States, and he served during one of the toughest but greatest terms during his election. Every four years, the United States elects a new president, someone who will lead the country for the next four years. This person has the responsibility to lead the country and people through the next four years as best as he or she can. When they leave office, many of these people leave the United States in a better place than it was at the beginning of their four years. However, many others see the United States decline during their years in office. These people are forever remembered for what they have done, whether positive or negative.
