Franklin Delano Roosevelt was Born on January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, New York. He was the son of James and Sara Delano Roosevelt. His parents and private tutors provided him with most of his formative education. He attended Groton, a prestigious preparatory school. He then got a Bachelor's degree in history from Harvard in only three years. He then attended New York’s Columbia University and studied law. He then worked for a prominent law firm and entered politics in 1910. In 1905 he married his distant cousin who was a niece of President Theodore Roosevelt.
