An Analysis of Theodore Roosevelt’s Presidency and Why He Was Successful Theodore Roosevelt was the twenty-sixth president of the United States and a massive success. Teddy spoke of the problems of the country at the time and he made sure to crush them (New Nationalism Speech). He was a progressive who achieved great strides in regulations for industry, presidential powers, and individual rights. During his time as president he was active in world politics and even broke up the Russo-Japanese war (which got him a Nobel prize).
Theodore Roosevelt or also known as Teddy was the 26th president of the United State of America. Teddy was first elected Vice President in 1900 (A&E). He served under president William McKinley but then was elected to be president on September 14th, 1901 because of the death of McKinley. Theodore Roosevelt had sort of a different childhood from other kids at the time you could say.
