According to French philosopher and revolutionary Frantz Fanon in his book The Wretched of The Earth he refers as such some among us are to an extent the spoilt children of yesterday’s colonialism without any source of pity or regard, we use todays national distress as a means of getting on through scheming.
There is no doubt according to the great philosopher’s observation which applies to those people who have an impression that the whole of the African continent is a basket of unsolvable problems. Fanon continues by arguing that the African continent has almost become characterized by devastating problems such as underdevelopment,backwardness,HIV and AIDS, hunger and wars.(Mhaka,2013)
The western hemisphere has the sole belief the basket of problems which is identified as Africa can only be whitewashed and eradicated by the west through Aid which would be channeled through the various international government Aid agencies. Economic communities namely the ‘United States Agency for International Development (USAID) followed by the Danish Agency (DANID) and the European Community (EC). (Mhaka, 2013)
