This book-- that was written by Franz Kafka speaks on how his life was growing up as a child. In this book you will learn that he portrayed himself as a beetle, that was once a human. This horrific yet emotional book is about how Gregor's family shows their true colors once Gregor's appearance has been changed suddenly and unexpectedly. Continuing it shows how he has been through many emotional situations, and he starts doubting himself at one point. Franz Kafka wrote this story about his life and the obstacles that he faced. Samsa), expected a lot out of Gregor. He basically he threw the role of a father at Gregor and still didn’t appreciate everything he has done; and sacrificed for his family. Gregor, hated his job so much, but he worked it; and had the worst boss anyone could ask for, but he did it to pay off his family debt, and to support his little sister and put her in music school. Mr. Samsa, kept all the money that was made instead of paying off his debt, which could've been paid off a couple years ago. When Gregor could no longer work due to his transformation, his father looked at his one and only son as a failure. Mr. Samsa did way more than belittle Gregor, ( which happened to Franz Kafka). He took away his happiness, when all he did was try to make everyone else
