In September of 1961, a woman from District of Columbia had an intruder break into her apartment. While the invader of the home was there, they had taken her wallet, and also raped the woman. During the investigation of the crime, the police had found some latent fingerprints in the apartment. The police then established and processed the prints. Former boxer O 'Neil "Supernova" Bell died as a result of a random street robbery, and police are seeking four men accused of his murder. The robbery occurred in southwest Atlanta after O 'Neil Bell stepped off a bus, right before the day of Thanksgiving. As a result of the robbery, Bell died when he attempted to fight back, and they left another person injured. Investigators of criminal law have called it an opportunistic crime, and police put out surveillance footage to solve the case.

Rodney king, born in Sacramento, California in 1965 and grew up to be known as a polite yet not very intelligent child and teenager. King was a high school dropout and a single father with a history of criminal activity. Rodney King was most famously known for his court battle against L.A.P.D. officers Stacey Koon, Laurence Powell, Ted Briseno, and Timothy Wind . On March 3, 1991 two crimes occurred involving King, one of which he was the offender and the other where he was the victim. The media loves to exploit any story where they can throw the race card and this case is a huge example of this. In the video, “How Racist are Ferguson Police?” it states that police in Ferguson have “established clear racial disparities that adversely impact African Americans” but people seem to ignore the fact that the reason Michael Brown was alerted to the police in the first place was because he committed theft. When a police officer sees a person who fits the description of a criminal it is his job to address the issue, and that is what officer Darren Wilson did. Brown went after Wilson and there is factual evidence of Brown’s blood being found on the gun and in the car of Officer Wilson.

This brutal act of racial profiling was forgiven in the name of systemic bias and societal attitudes towards racism and similar issues. The date in question is the day that the verdict of the Rodney King trial was released by the jury. The trial involved Rodney G. King a taxi driver who was pulled over for a traffic violation.
