The epic poem Odyssey by Homer is about a man named Odysseus. He is separated from his family. He is lost at sea and goes into foreign lands. Through everything he is always trying to get home and finally after 18 years he makes it home. Though it was his fault that he became separated from his home. the epic poem was trying to show that through everything love and compassion creates a will stronger than anything.

Though his fate was determined by the gods to never return home he still managed to find a way to his beloved wife and his son whom he has never met. He resisted the beauty of a goddess as said in the story, “Now, don't be angry, Calypso. Of course no mortal women can rival a goddess for beauty of face and form. My penelope must
