In the 1920’s, women’s rights took a big turn. Women got their voting right in 1919 by the 19th Amendment, it changed everyone’s life afterward. Women were now recognized pretty much as equals. There were always men who didn’t agree but for the most part, everyone did. In the Roaring 20s, people called women, “New Women” due to some of the things that women did after they got their voting right. Women became rebellious due to their new freedom because before this, they never had any type of freedom at all, therefore when they got a taste of it, some of them ran with it.
