Freedom Writers Diary Summary

Freedom Writers Diary is a collection of all the entries that the students in Room 203 wrote about their personal lives. The most interesting fact about this book is that nothing is fake or made-up; teenagers my age endured their trials and tribulations and they’re willing to share everything anonymously. I recommend this book to people that’re going through a tough time in their life and need some motivation. The main themes that most of the students could relate to are: gang-related crimes, murder, physical and sexual abuse, and illegal drug activities. This book shows how the persistence of one individual, their teacher Ms. Gruwell, can impact and assist others to become aware of their true potentials. Most importantly, we learn that we
