The freewill defence is grounded on the new proposition of acceptance of the greatness of creation and freewill superior to evil, in particular moral evil, put forward by Alvin Plantinga who is regarded the father of freewill defence in contemporary analytic philosophy. The proposition means that God creates the world with the desire of having moral good. (Chapter 58, Michael L Peterson). Firstly, it is accepted that our world, which was created by God, is a 7 great goodness. Secondly, it is also accepted that he created free creatures, giving us the ability of performing freely which is also a great good since we all having a great enjoyment of choosing what we desire, comprising moral goods.
