The following outline covers the main issues concern the Fresno State Winery, in terms of attracting new wine club members and that of staffing the sales and marketing department at the winery. Over the past new of years, the Winery has seen the struggle factors that affect both areas. Listed below includes an overview in the history of the Fresno State Winery and recommendations of potential solutions in order to combat the two concerning issues.

The Fresno State Winery is a local university based winery with over 20 types of wine made from the grapes produced on its campus. The club associated with this winery is made up of community members and alumni with a strong affinity for wine. The main issues are the lack of members coming into the program and the lack of staff. This will give people a reason to recommend their friends. (1) The bottles we will give out for every 5 people members referred who join will be donated by Fresno State. (2) The club members will made known of the inventive program in the monthly newsletter. Additionally, an announcement will be made at each event highlighting the rewards earned from getting their friends to join. (3)Similar referral incentive exists in thriving businesses such as Uber, DirectTV, and Amazon Prime. The program is different when it comes to getting members to join a club, but the idea is basically the same.
