1. What is the setting of the novel? (place, culture, time, social class/group, society) There are 4 places within this story: Clare’s childhood house, the Meadow, Chicago and Clare & Henry’s apartment; these places is where the storyline occurs. Since it does not necessarily follow in chronological order, the earliest time in the book is 1968, and the dates and years change all throughout the book until the latest year in 2053. Clare is from a rich family, while Henry is from the middle class. What would you say is the climax of the book? The climax of this book is the realisation of Henry’s inevitable death. After Henry from the future time travels to Henry and Clare in the present, the couple becomes aware of the troubles that will come. It becomes more realistic after Henry loses both of his feet, which is a necessity when it comes to time traveling because he arrives naked and must survive waiting until he gets back to the present, which includes a lot of running. 8.
