In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, there are two young adults that fall in love but are forbidden to be with each other. In the play, there were many admirable characters but the most admirable was Friar Lawrence. He stayed calm throughout the entire play and gave many people advise. Over the course of the play, Juliet showed that she is more mature than Romeo. She demonstrated that she can be brave in times of need like when she had to drink the vial to make her sleep. Lastly, Romeo's character changed a lot throughout the play. He went from being sad and depressed to a very happy young adult in a matter of a day. Friar Laurence is the most admirable because he was in the middle of everything that was happening but still managed to stay calm and give advice. Another thing is that he always was thinking on the bright side, even when he didn't want to marry Romeo and Juliet he did anyway because he wanted to fix the family feud between the Montagues and …show more content…

At first, his character is very sad didn't want to do much just sit in his room with the curtains shut because his love Rosaline does not love him back. Towards the middle of the play, he is very happy and in love with the young and beautiful Juliet. Then at the end of the play, he is many things. First, he is sad that he has to be so far apart from his lovely wife. He then is very sad and mad when he learns that his beautiful wife has died. Lastly, he is crazy and he goes on a rampage telling Balthasar ¨ therefore hence; be gone.
