What would you do if someone you loved died for you? The “Romeo and Juliet” play was written by William Shakespeare and in the play it’s about how two lovers ended their lives catastrophically. The story ends with Prince Escalus demanding to find out who is to blame for the deaths of a Capulet and a death of a Montague. Many of the characters in the play were very involved in each of their lives. Romeo and Juliet’s deaths were simply caused by the actions of Friar Lawrence, Lady Capulet, and Lord Capulet. Friar Lawrence is the main one at fault for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. In the tale of Romeo and Juliet, you can tell that that Friar Lawrence played a big role in each of their life’s. When Romeo and Juliet first came about they immediately fell in love. It shows this by saying, “Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear”. From the very beginning of the story the Capulets and the Montagues are constantly feuding. This from the beginning leads a little suspicion of why they would include this information. Later on in the play, Lord Capulet comes into Juliet’s room to talk to her about marrying Paris. “But fettle your fine joints ‘gainst Thursday next, To go with Paris to Saint Peter’s Church“. He is implying that she doesn’t have another choice but to marry Paris. She then tells him that she doesn’t want to marry Paris. His response to that was calling her names by saying “Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch!”. After Lord Capulet said that Juliet she didn’t have a choice but to go to Friar Lawrence because he was the only one besides the nurse that knew about Romeo. So that’s when Friar Lawrence came up with a plan for Juliet to fake her death, if Lord Capulet didn’t force Juliet to marry Paris then she wouldn’t have never had to go to Friar
