Have you ever wondered who was responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, who killed them in that cave that night? I believe Friar Laurence was responsible for their deaths and the sadness brought to both families. Friar Laurence thought that by marrying Romeo and Juliet would end the feud between the Capulet and the Montagues. The Friar was also the one who came up with the plan to fake the death of Juliet, then her and Romeo could run away together. He also ran away when Romeo killed himself and Juliet just woke up that then ended in a tragedy. Friar Laurence was a huge character in the book, but is thought to be the one who killed Romeo and Juliet. The friar was the one who had the idea and the one to marry them. The friar married them to help end the feuds between their families, but it only ended their lives. They were so in love they would do anything for each other, including dying for each other. “Conceit, more rich in matter than in words, Brags of his substance, not of ornament They are but beggars that can count their worth.
