In Romeo and Juliet, fights are frequent throughout the book. Friar Laurence is not responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because Romeo and Juliet are reckless and act without thinking, the two families’ feud all of the time, and Friar Laurence tries to help them. First and foremost, Romeo is reckless and acts without thinking. For example, Romeo goes to the Capulet party as a Montague. Similarly, Romeo jumps into the Capulet garden, knowing that he could die. And finally, after Romeo has found out that Juliet has “died” he no questions asked buys a potion to kill himself.
