If someone were to commit suicide whom would you blame? Usually, people commit suicide because there is pressure put on them by others, which causes stress. This could be from peers bullying them to parents having hard expectations and also from the loss of other people, there is a multitude of different things that can cause this. Sometimes it isn't just one thing that is stressing them out, it could be a culmination of different things. Friar Lawrance and Juliet are to blame for her death. Friar is most at fault because he was at the center of all the bad things that have happened to Juliet.
The person whom I feel is most a fault for the whole ordeal and not just for her suicide is Friar Lawrence. Not only is he highly responsible for her suicide but he is also responsible for Romeo’s exile and Tybalt, Mercutio, Paris, and Romeo’s death as well. Although he was trying to make it better he made it worse and ended up with Romeo and Paris dying too. He played the role of giving the fist poison to Juliet, causing Romeo to believe she died because he didn’t get the message to him. Then when he went to go see Juliet's dead body Paris was there and they fought and he died. After Romeo kills Paris he kills himself, and just then Juliet wakes up. When she woke up Friar arrived, what a surprise. After he surveyed the scene he left Juliet with a dagger and ran, as shown here “Oh, good, a knife! My body will be your sheath.” (Juliet Pg 90 Lines 182-183) She ended up using the dagger to kill herself. Not only have his actions caused people to die, he tried to stage a scene so that people would believe that it is Juliet's fault, but she ended up killing herself. Just about every bad thing that happens in this play comes back to Friar, and he tries his best to avoid the fact that it's all his
